Hiya! I read. A lot. (Really. A LOT.) I do social work/sociology in a US university regarding gender and sexuality, gender/orientation identity development, and diversity education. I also work in administration for a college dance program. I’m a mixed race, queer, trans-masc enby, who is weird, old, disabled, ND, and frequently grumpy. I love cats, journals, young adults, old geeks, my wife of several decades, and our families.

Many of my posts are access-list locked. If you'd like to read, drop me a note. You are welcome to message about access, about anything you read here, or about nifty social science research related to human sexuality, gender, orientation, or social services. I don’t check messages every day, but I do try to get back to everyone as I can. Direct messages (especially things involving science, research, or religion) may be responded to semi-privately (locked post) or publicly (open post).

If I find what I consider to be indicators of unacceptable down-time companionship, I will block you. Some of those signs are racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, assorted other -isms, an inability to understand how science works, or an excess of religious material not related to my interests. This is not an inclusive list. You are welcome to hold any opinions your heart desires. I have no problem with rigorous good-faith debate, but I do not make space for non-entertaining debate or overly annoying people in my own living room. There's a whole internet out there with plenty of places for you to make your points. I may even engage you or your opinions somewhere else.
